I think from the video and the distance of the bullet a small portion was blown-off. I heard that he wasn’t wearing a bandage before the RNC and then it returned (but I didn’t bother confirming that or not). I think it unlikely the ear would have been “holed.”

I heard about the bandage being on and off and I assumed it shouldn't be anything serious. My ears are about 3cm and I think the ear will have great damage/holed to be within a quarter of an inch near death. Maybe it's just figurative speaking.
I don't understand or know which part of his ears that's nipped by the bullet. Is it the tip of it or right in the middle leaving a hole/gap?
